Hanover Park, Cape Town
Hanover Park is a neighborhood of the City of Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. In February 1980 the neighborhood was the starting point of a national prolonged school boycott in protest of apartheid laws and policies. Although Hanover Park is its own neighborhood separate from Philippi to its south it is situated within the Philippi police precinct area. Hanover Park currently has a very high crime rate. South African Standard Time
South African Standard Time (SAST) is the time zone used by all of South Africa as well as Eswatini and Lesotho. The zone is two hours ahead of UTC ( UTC+02:00) and is the same as Central Africa Time. Daylight saving time is not observed in either time zone. Solar noon in this time zone occurs at 30° E in SAST, effectively making Pietermaritzburg at the correct solar noon point, with Johannesburg and Pretoria slightly west at 28° E and Durban slightly east at 31° E. Thus, most of South Africa's population experience true solar noon at approximately 12:00 daily. The western Northern Cape and Western Cape differ, however. Albert Fritz
Albert Theo Fritz (born 1 July 1959) is a South African politician and advocate. He was the Western Cape Department of Community Safety, Western Cape Provincial Minister of Community Safety for two nonconconsecutive terms from 2010 to 2011 and again from 2019 until his dismissal from the position amid sexual misconduct allegations in 2022. He was a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2010 until his resignation from the DA in 2022. Benni McCarthy
Benedict Saul McCarthy (born 12 November 1977) is a South African football coach who is currently the manager of the Kenya national football team. He previously worked as head coach of South African Premier Division team AmaZulu, and as assistant coach at Manchester United. A former forward, McCarthy is the South Africa national team's all-time top scorer with 31 goals. He is also the only South African to have won the UEFA Champions League, doing so with Porto in 2003–04. Philippi, Cape Town
Philippi is a large urban and semi-rural area in Cape Town's Cape Flats region, in the Western Cape, South Africa. It comprises the Philippi Horticultural Area to the west, which is sparsely populated compared to the surrounding city and contains many farms. This area produces around 80% of Cape Town's freshproduce, and generates around half a billion rand's worth of economic output per annum.
