Hannah Milhous Nixon
Hannah Elizabeth Milhous Nixon (March 7, 1885 – September 30, 1967) was the mother of U.S. president Richard Nixon. Hannah's influence on her son was profound, and he frequently spoke about his admiration for his mother, including at his farewell speech to the White House staff. Butlerville is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in central Campbell Township, Jennings County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 282. History The Butlerville post office was established in 1851. An early settler being a former resident of Butlerville, Ohio, caused the name to be selected. Butlerville was legally platted in 1853. Hannah Milhous Nixon, mother of President Richard Nixon, was born near Butlerville. Hughes Tool Company was an American manufacturer of drill bits. Founded in 1908, it was merged into Baker Hughes Incorporated in 1987. History The company was established in December 1908 as Sharp-Hughes Tool Company when Howard R. Hughes Sr. patented a roller cutter bit that dramatically improved the rotary drilling process for oil drilling rigs. He partnered with longtime business associate Walter Benona Sharp to manufacture and market the bit. Following her husband's death in 1912, Sharp's widow Estelle Sharp sold her 50% share in the company to Howard Hughes Sr. in 1914. The company was renamed Hughes Tool Company on February 3, 1915. Manuel "Manolo" Sanchez (1929 – ) was a long-time valet to Richard Nixon, known for his unfailing loyalty and fierce devotion to the former United States president. Sanchez was born in Cuba to a Spanish family, and was raised in Spain before returning to Cuba. There, he worked as a dishwasher and laborer before moving to the United States.
