Hanife Çetiner
Hanife Çetiner (14 June 1938 – 10 January 2011) was a Turkish fashion designer. An art and home economics teacher, Çetiner started her career in fashion in 1990 and gained significant popularity over the next decade by making couture women's bridal and evening gowns in her workshop. Subsequently Çetiner became the principal designer for the 67th Miss Turkey competition, creating 134 outfits for the various beauty pageant contestants. She is considered ahead of time in the use of sustainable fashion when the concept was not yet fully developed in the early 90’s. In her designs Çetiner frequently used textiles handwoven by women from small villages in Turkey, or repurposed embroidery pieces from antique Ottoman Empire clothing. She was passionate about supporting women and introducing the rich culture of Anatolia by creating responsible fashion. She frequently combined traditional and modern and fused old with the new. Miss Europe
Miss Europe is a beauty pageant for women from all over Europe. It was established in February 1927 by , the European distributor of Paramount, as a one-off event where the winner was to star in a film directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. After the initial twelve-person jury couldn't decide between 10 contestants, a runoff election was held where Murnau chose the winner. Murnau ended up choosing Štefica Vidačić of Yugoslavia as the winner and the first ever Miss Europe. Miss Europe was later re-established in December 1928 by French journalist Maurice de Waleffe (1874–1946), who also created, in 1920, what by 1927 had become the Miss France pageant. Miss Europe, under de Waleffe, was first held at the Paris Opera with participants from 18 countries. The first contest under de Waleffe did not occur until February 1929. Heart Attack
A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when Ischemia, blood flow decreases or stops in one of the coronary arteries of the heart, causing infarction (tissue death) to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is retrosternal Angina, chest pain or discomfort that classically radiates to the left shoulder, arm, or jaw. The pain may occasionally feel like heartburn. This is the dangerous type of acute coronary syndrome. Other symptoms may include shortness of breath, nausea, presyncope, feeling faint, a diaphoresis, cold sweat, Fatigue, feeling tired, and decreased level of consciousness. ''Milliyet'' ( Turkish for "''nationality''") is a daily newspaper published in Istanbul, Turkey. Miss International
Miss International (''Miss International Beauty'' or ''The International Beauty Pageant'') is a Japan-based international major beauty pageant organized by the International Culture Association. First held in 1960, it is the fourth largest pageant in the world in terms of the number of national winners participating in the international contest. Along with Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth, the pageant is one of the Big Four beauty pageants. Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four beauty pageants. The current Miss World is Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand who was crowned on 31 May 2025 in Hyderabad, India. Miss Universe 1952 was the first Miss Universe pageant, held at the Long Beach Municipal Auditorium in Long Beach, California, United States on 28 June 1952. At the end of the event, actress Piper Laurie crowned Armi Kuusela of Finland as Miss Universe 1952. It was the first victory of Finland in the history of the pageant.
