Qatar
Qatar, officially the State of Qatar, is a country in West Asia. It occupies the Geography of Qatar, Qatar Peninsula on the northeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East; it shares Qatar–Saudi Arabia border, its sole land border with Saudi Arabia to the south, with the rest of its territory surrounded by the Persian Gulf. Municipalities Of Qatar
Since 2015, Qatar has been divided into eight Municipality, municipalities. In 2004, a new municipality, Al Daayen, was created under Resolution No. 13, formed from parts of Umm Salal and Al Khawr; at the same time, Al Ghuwariyah was merged with Al Khawr; Al Jumaliyah was merged with Ar Rayyan; Jarayan al Batnah was split between Al Rayyan and Al Wakrah; and Mesaieed was merged with Al Wakrah. In 2014, the western city of Al-Shahaniya split off from Al Rayyan Municipality to form its own municipality. Ad-Dawhah (municipality)
Ad-Dawhah (, ' or ''ad-Dōḥa'', ) is one of the eight municipalities of Qatar. It is the most populous municipality with a population of 1,186,023 in 2020, and is the municipality of Qatar's capital city, Doha. Etymology According to the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, the name "Doha" originated from the Arabic language, Arabic term "dohat", which means "roundness". This name is derived from the rounded bays surrounding the area's coastline. History In 1950, prior to the official establishment of Ad-Dawhah municipality, Phillip L. Plant, British adviser to the Emir, initiated the first municipal projects in Qatar. Zones Of Qatar
In the administrative divisions of Qatar, zones ( ''manāṭiq''; singular ''minṭaqa'') are the second-highest level of government after municipalities. As of the 2015 census, there were 98 zones across the country. However, several of these zones are not currently in use. Over the years, numerous changes in zones have taken place. New Al Hitmi (; also known as Al-Hitmi Al-Jadeed) is a Qatari district located in the municipality of Ad Dawhah. Fereej Bin Omran
Fereej Bin Omran () is a district in Qatar, located in the municipalities of Qatar, municipality of Ad-Dawhah (municipality), Ad Dawhah. Together with New Al Hitmi and Hamad Medical City, it makes up Qatar's Zone 37, Qatar, Zone 37, with a total population of 26,121. Hamad Medical Corporation
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) is Qatar's main not-for-profit health care provider, and is based in Doha. It was established by Emiri Decree No. 35 in 1979. HMC manages several hospitals, as well as emergency, specialized, and ambulatory care centers, and operates both the national ambulance service and a home healthcare service. HMC is the only healthcare organization outside the United States to receive simultaneous Joint Commission International (JCI) re-accreditation for all its hospitals, and in 2011 the ambulance service and home healthcare service also received JCI accreditation. Facilities Rumailah Hospital Opened in 1957, the Rumailah Hospital is a 644-bed hospital offering rehabilitative services for disabled children, adults and elderly people. Rumeilah (Doha)
Rumeilah (; also spelled Rumaila) is a neighborhood of Doha, Qatar. It is divided into an eastern and western section. Zone 11, the eastern section, hosts roughly half of Al Bidda Park while Zone 21 contains most of Hamad Medical Corporation's facilities. Al Sadd (Qatar)
Al Sadd () is a neighborhood of Doha, the capital city of Qatar. The football team Al-Sadd and the Al-Sadd Sports Complex are located here. Wadi Al Sail
Wadi Al Sail () is a neighborhood of Doha, Qatar. The area has undergone much renovation and development in recent years. As its name suggests, the original settlement was built in a wadi. The western partition of the district is known for containing the Qatar Radio and Television Corporation Complex which hosts Al Jazeera's headquarters.
