Hakan Savaş Mican
Hakan Savaş Mican (born 1978) is a German-Turkish filmmaker, playwright and director. Biography Hakan Savaş Mican was born in Berlin in 1978 as the son of Turkish immigrants, but grew up with his grandmother in Turkey. After passing the Turkish Abitur in Ankara in 1995, he moved back to Berlin in 1997 to study architecture, graduating in 2004. He then went on to study directing at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin (dffb). After completing his studies, Mican made several short films, one of which (''Fremd.Yaban'', 2007) received some praise. His 30-minute feature film ''Adems Sohn'', which ran on German television in 2008, was previewed at the 13th Turkey/Germany Film Festival in Nuremberg. In 2009, he completed the play ''Die Schwäne vom Schlachthof'' ("The Swans of the Slaughterhouse"), which retells "stories of Turkish-Germans who were entangled in the East-West divide in some form". Marianna Salzmann
Sasha Marianna Salzmann (born in Volgograd, Soviet Union on 21 August 1985) is a German playwright, essayist, theatre curator and novelist. They are a writer in residence at the Maxim Gorki Theatre in Berlin where they were artistic director of the studio theatre, Studio Я, from 2013 to 2015. Life Salzmann grew up in Moscow until 1995, when they emigrated with their family to Germany as Jewish "Quota refugees" (''"Kontingentflüchtlinge"''). A short film is a film with a low running time. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of not more than 40 minutes including all credits". Other film organizations may use different definitions, however; the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television, for example, currently defines a short film as 45 minutes or less in the case of documentaries, and 59 minutes or less in the case of scripted narrative films (it is not made clear whether this includes closing credits). In the United States, short films were generally termed short subjects from the 1920s into the 1970s when confined to two 35 mm reels or less, and featurettes for a film of three or four reels.
