Hakan Dinç
Hakan Dinç (born 1963) is a Turkish racing driver. He made his first amateur race in 1986, and won the Hittite Rally in 1987. He trained with the Jim Russell Racing Driver School in 1993, and earned an instructor's license. One year after, he established the Safari Racing School. In 1994, Dinç competed in the fledgling Turkish Formula Three Championship. Hakan Dinç won the Group N class of the Turkish Rally Championship in 2004, a year in which he also made his debut in the World Rally Championship, when he entered the Rally of Turkey; in this event, he won the Group N4 category. The following year, he switched to a Skoda Octavia WRC for both the Turkish Rally Championship and the Rally of Turkey, but mechanical issues forced him out of the latter event on the fourth stage. The Turkish Formula Three Championship is an international motor racing series that takes place primarily in Turkey. It is a junior-level feeder formula that uses small single seater Formula Three chassis. The races are held in İzmit Körfez Circuit, Kocaeli Province and Pınarbaşı Racing Circuit, İzmir. Group N
In relation to international motorsport governed by the FIA, Group N refers to regulations providing "standard" large-scale series production vehicles for competition. They are limited in terms of modifications permitted to the standard specification by the manufacturer making them a cost effective method of production vehicle motorsport. Often referred to as the "showroom class", Group N contrasts with Group A which has greater freedom to modify and tune the cars to be more suitable to racing. Both groups may have the same or similar models homologated by a manufacturer. Group N was introduced by the FIA in 1982 to replace the outgoing Group 1 as "standard touring cars". The World Rally Championship (abbreviated as WRC) is an international rallying series owned and governed by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA. Inaugurated in 1973, it is the oldest FIA world championship after Formula One. Each season lasts one calendar year, and typically consists of 13 three- to four-day rally events driven on surfaces ranging from gravel and tarmac to snow and ice. Each rally is usually split into 15–25 Special stage (rallying), special stages which are run against the clock on up to of closed roads. The Rally of Turkey (also known as Anatolian Rally) is a rally competition on the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) schedule. The Ford Focus RS WRC is a car built for the Ford World Rally Team by Ford Europe and M-Sport and based on the Ford Focus Climate 2-litre production hatchback, developed to compete in the World Rally Championship. The RS stands for ''Rallye Sport'' and the WRC for '' World Rally Car'', the car's FIA specification. The Focus RS WRC was in competition from 1999 to 2010, winning 44 world rallies and two manufacturers' world titles ( 2006 and 2007). It was replaced by the Ford Fiesta RS WRC.
