HC Hvězda Praha
HC Hvězda Praha is a Czech ice hockey club based in Prague. Founded in 1969 under the name HC Praha, the club has been since then focused primarily on the development of talented youth and junior hockey players. Its men's team is currently playing in the 4th highest Czech hockey division. About the club The club was founded with the original name HC Praha in 1969. In 1975 it has been renamed to TJ Hvězda Praha, with the club's name referring to the well-known Renaissance villa and national cultural monument Letohrádek Hvězda located nearby in the same municipal district of Prague 6. Since 1983, the club has been playing at its own ice rink in Vokovice, Prague 6. Although the club has undergone a number of changes and reorganizations during its existence, it has transformed into one of the important and respected regional youth hockey hubs. Ronald Knot (born August 3, 1994) is a Czech professional ice hockey player. He is currently an unrestricted free agent who most recently played for HIFK of the Liiga. Playing career Knot made his Czech Extraliga debut playing with HC Slavia Praha during the 2012–13 Czech Extraliga season and has also played for BK Mladá Boleslav and Piráti Chomutov. Following two seasons with HC Bílí Tygři Liberec, Knot left the ELH for the first time in his professional career, agreeing to a one-year contract with Russian club HC Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), on 18 May 2021. Radek Smoleňák (born December 3, 1986) is a Czech professional ice hockey winger. He is currently playing with the Rytíři Kladno of the Czech Extraliga. Smoleňák was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 3rd round (73rd overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. Noemi Neubauerová (born 15 December 1999) is a Czech ice hockey player for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for Brynäs IF of the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). She is also a member of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team. Dominika Lásková (born 20 December 1996) is a Czech professional ice hockey player for the Montréal Victoire of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and a member of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team. David Kočí (born May 12, 1981) is a Czech former professional ice hockey player who is currently coaching within HC Sparta Praha in the Czech Extraliga. He previously played in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Blackhawks, Tampa Bay Lightning, St. Louis Blues and the Colorado Avalanche. Jan Hlaváč (born September 19, 1976) is a Czech former professional ice hockey player who last played for HC Stadion Vrchlabí in CZE.3.
