H. C. Ørsted Medal
The H. C. Ørsted Medal is a medal for scientific achievement awarded by the Danish Society for the Dissemination of Natural Science (Danish language, danish: ''Selskabet for naturlærens udbredelse)''. It is named after founder of the society Hans Christian Ørsted, and awarded chiefly to Danes. A society () is a group of individuals involved in persistent social interaction or a large social group sharing the same spatial or social territory, typically subject to the same Politics, political authority and dominant cultural expectations.
