Gustaf Bonde (1911–1977)
Count Gustaf Bonde af Björnö (8 October 1911 – 21 September 1977) was a Swedish diplomat. Career Bonde was born at Trolleholm Castle, Sweden, the son of count Gustaf Trolle–Bonde (1868–1951) and countess Henriette Falkenberg (1883–1932). He became a second lieutenant in the Scanian Cavalry Regiment's (K 2) reserve in 1932 and graduated with an administrative degree (''kansliexamen'') in 1935. Bonde graduated from the Stockholm School of Economics in 1937 and became an attaché at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in 1937. He served in Paris, Budapest, Washington, D.C., Cairo and Athens from 1937 to 1956. Bonde was chief of protocol at the Foreign Ministry from 1956 to 1962 and deputy introducer for foreign emissaries from 1960. He was ambassador in Santiago from 1962 to 1965, in Rio de Janeiro from 1966 to 1970, in Tehran and Kabul from 1970 to 1973 and finally in Budapest from 1973 to 1977. The Royal Order of the Polar Star (Swedish: ''Kungliga Nordstjärneorden'') is a Swedish order of chivalry created by King Frederick I on 23 February 1748, together with the Order of the Sword and the Order of the Seraphim. The Order of the Polar Star was until 1975 intended as a reward for Swedish and foreign "civic merits, for devotion to duty, for science, literary, learned and useful works and for new and beneficial institutions". Its motto is, as seen on the blue enameled centre of the badge, ''Nescit Occasum'', a Latin phrase meaning "It knows no decline". This is to represent that Sweden is as constant as a never setting star. The Order's colour is black. Order Of The Crown (Iran)
The Order of the Crown was founded in 1913 (1332 AH) by Shah Ahmad Shah Qajar before his coronation as the highest dynastical and state order. Until 1926 it existed in two classes (with breast star and sash for both). The 1st class had a collar (neck chain with badge as a pendant) reserved for the Shahanshah and the Crown-Prince. The Order was preserved in Iran after the fall of the Qajars. Until the reform of the Order in 1938/39 the sash was blue with thin green-white borders, but after the reform was corn-yellow with sky-blue edges. The first Shah from the Pahlavi dynasty reformed the order at the end of the year in 1938/39. The order was the senior one after the dynastic Order of Pahlavi. It was established in 1951 by the second President of the Italian Republic, Luigi Einaudi. The Order of Leopold II is an order of Belgium and is named in honor of King Leopold II. The decoration was established on 24 August 1900 by Leopold II as Sovereign of the Congo Free State and was in 1908, upon Congo being handed over to Belgium, incorporated into the Belgian awards system. The order is awarded for meritorious service to the sovereign of Belgium, and as a token of his personal goodwill. It can be awarded to both Belgians and foreigners, and is seen as diplomatic gift of merit. Succeeding the Medal of the Merit, which was created during the term of the President Germán Riesco through the Minister of War decree No. 1350 on 4 September 1906.
