Gui Boratto
Guilherme Boratto (born 1974 in São Paulo) is a Brazilian electronic music producer. In the 1990s, he was a member of Sect. His debut solo album '' Chromophobia'' was awarded the title of Mixmag Album of the Month. Regarding why he chose the name Chromophobia, Boratto said: "The same meaning as monochromatism in architecture, which means simplicity. That’s all. I don’t have a morbid fear of colors at all. But also, I was ironic. My music is really colorful." He owns the record label D.O.C., distributed by Kompakt. The first artist he signed was the Brazilian electronic duo Elekfantz. On stage, Boratto uses a laptop equipped with Ableton Live, a JazzMutant Lemur, a monome and an Akai APC40. He sometimes invites a guitar player to join him. A pentagram (sometimes known as a pentalpha, pentangle, or star pentagon) is a regular five-pointed star polygon, formed from the diagonal line segments of a convex (or simple, or non-self-intersecting) regular pentagon. Drawing a circle around the five points creates a similar symbol referred to as the pentacle, which is used widely by Wiccans and in paganism, or as a sign of life and connections. The word "pentagram" refers only to the five-pointed star, not the surrounding circle of a pentacle. Pentagrams were used symbolically in ancient Greece and Babylonia. "A&E" is a song by English electronic music duo Goldfrapp from their fourth studio album, ''Seventh Tree'' (2008). The song was written and produced by Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory, with co-production handled by Flood. It was released as the album's lead single on 11 February 2008. Background and writing "A&E" was composed as a collaborative effort between Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory in 2007 in a recording studio near Somerset, England. Its lyrics were inspired by Goldfrapp's visit to the emergency department of a hospital on a Saturday afternoon. The doctors "pumped erup with loads of painkillers" and she described the situation as a "bit surreal." The track finds Goldfrapp reflecting on a bad situation which resulted in an "accident and emergency" (A&E). The situation made her "feel blue", and at the end of the song she concludes that finally "the pain has started to slip away", even though she admits there might be "pills at work." Goldfrapp are an English electronic music duo from London, formed in 1999. The duo consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesiser) and Will Gregory (synthesiser). Despite favourable reviews and a short-listing for the Mercury Prize, their 2000 début studio album '' Felt Mountain'' did not chart highly. Goldfrapp's second album '' Black Cherry'', which incorporated glam rock and synth-pop sounds into their music, was released in 2003. Roman Böer (born 9 June 1974), better known as DJ Tocadisco, formerly Tocadisco (; Spanish for "turntable"), is a German DJ and record producer. Biography Born in Berlin, but grew up as the son of the photographer and media designer Gerry Böer in Mönchengladbach, where he also regularly hangs at the club "Die Nacht" ("the night"). In 1996, Tocadisco began his professional career as a DJ at Club Unique in Düsseldorf. The club was elected as the "best club in town" during his stint by the magazine Prinz. Will Saul (born 28 December 1978 in Glastonbury, England) is a British DJ, music producer, and the founder of Simple Records and Aus Music. Robert Babicz (born January 5, 1973 in Niemodlin, Poland) is a Polish-born music producer, mastering engineer and live performer living in Malta. Guy Judah (born ), known by his stage name Guy J, is an Israeli progressive house, techno and electro music producer and DJ who has released three albums and over 15 EPs since 2008. His recordings are noted for their diverse and wide range of musical styles, while his DJ work is known for creating immersive "journey-like" live shows. In July 2012, he founded the imprint record label Lost & Found, supported by the British DJ and producer John Digweed.
