Guangming District
Guangming District is one of nine districts in the city of Shenzhen. The district, bordering the city of Dongguan in the Northwest of Shenzhen, was created in 2007 as a "functional area" of Bao'an District. In May 2018, it became a formal administrative division. Guangming District has a total area of 156.1 square kilometers and a resident population of 1,095,300 residents. In 2020, Guangming District achieved a regional GDP of 110.77 billion yuan, an increase of 5.7%, the second-fastest growth rate in Shenzhen City. The initial formation of a new generation of emerging industries clustered development pattern regarding information technology, new materials, and biomedicine is also achieved. Line 6 (Shenzhen Metro)
Line 6 (), also known as the Guangming line () of the Shenzhen Metro is in operation. Line 6 is part of the Phase III expansion of the Shenzhen Metro with a construction time frame scheduled for 2015–2019. The first phase of Line 6 has a length of and a total of 20 stations. It connects Songgang to Shenzhen North station. The southern extension has a length of and 7 stations, from Shenzhen North station to Science Museum station. Construction of the first phase started in 2012, with both the original line and south extension opened on 18 August 2020. It is the second metro line in Shenzhen with an operating speed of over . A humid subtropical climate is a zone of climate characterized by hot and humid summers, and cool to mild winters. Guangdong Romanization
Guangdong Romanization refers to the four romanization schemes published by the Guangdong Provincial Education Department in 1960 for transliterating Cantonese, Teochew, Hakka and Hainanese. The schemes utilized similar elements with some differences in order to adapt to their respective spoken varieties. In certain respects, Guangdong romanization resembles pinyin in its distinction of the alveolar initials ''z'', ''c'', ''s'' from the alveolo-palatal initials ''j'', ''q'', ''x'' and in its use of ''b'', ''d'', ''g'' to represent the unaspirated stop consonants .
