Gold Star Chili is a restaurant chain based in Cincinnati, Ohio, that sells Cincinnati chili. The original restaurant was established in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Mt. Washington in 1965 by four Daoud brothers, immigrants from Jordan. Gold Star Chili is the "Official Chili" of the Cincinnati Bengals. History Gold Star Chili was founded in 1965 by four Daoud brothers (Fahhad, Fahid, Basheer, and Bishara) in Mount Washington, originally under the name Hamburger Heaven. The Daoud brothers immigrated from a village in Jordan in 1957. As the original name suggests, the original vision for their restaurant was primarily hamburgers. Withamsville, Ohio
Withamsville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pierce and Union townships of Clermont County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,021 at the 2010 census. History A post office called Withamsville was established in 1828, and remained in operation until 1923. The community was named for Rev. Maurice Witham, a pioneer who settled there around 1800. Geography Withamsville is located in western Clermont County at (39.058663, -84.269903), along the southern border of Union Township. The southeast corner of the CDP crosses into Pierce Township to the south. Big Red Machine
The Big Red Machine is a nickname for the Cincinnati Reds baseball team that dominated the National League from 1970 to 1979 and is widely recognized as being among the best in baseball history. The team won six National League West Division titles, four National League pennants, and two World Series titles. Between 1970 and 1979 the team averaged over 95 wins a season, with a total record of 953 wins and 657 losses. The core of that Reds team had the best record in the Major Leagues in 1981, but did not make the postseason because of Bowie Kuhn's split-season playoff format due to the player's strike. Neal Joseph Conan III (November 26, 1949August 10, 2021) was an American radio journalist, producer, editor, and correspondent. He worked for National Public Radio for over 36 years and was the senior host of its talk show ''Talk of the Nation''. Peter Edward Rose Sr. (born April 14, 1941), also known by his nickname "Charlie Hustle", is an American former professional baseball player and manager.
