Gogu Constantinescu
George "Gogu" Constantinescu (; last name also Constantinesco; 4 October 1881 – 11 December 1965) was a Romanian scientist, engineer and inventor. During his career, he registered over 130 inventions. He is the creator of the ''theory of sonics'', a new branch of continuum mechanics, in which he described the transmission of mechanical energy through vibrations. Biography Early years Born in Craiova in "the Doctor's House" near the Mihai Bravu Gardens, he was influenced by his father George, born in 1844 (a professor of mathematics and engineering science, specialized in mathematics at the Sorbonne University). Gogu Neagoe is a Romanian cartoonist and a member of the Romanian Association of Professional Caricature since 2006, and since 2008 is a member of the International Association of Fine Arts in Germany UNESCO. He has participated in numerous national and international painting and caricature festivals, and his works are in private collections in Romania and abroad. The artist's cartoons are exhibited in art museums in Australia, USA, Los Angeles, Iran, France, Italy, Germany, China, Japan, Bulgaria, Belgium, Greece. In 2013, the cartoonist donated 4 painted works, worth 15,000 euros, to a charity event for children with health problems and the poor. Gogu Rădulescu
Gheorghe "Gogu" Rădulescu (5 September 19141991) was a Romanian journalist, economist, and high-ranking figure of the communist regime. Of mixed Romani and Russian heritage, he began his leftist and anti-fascist militancy in the early 1930s, while a student at the Commercial Academy in Bucharest. He established a Democratic Students' Front, which embarked on a direct confrontation with the fascist Iron Guard, as well as with the conservative establishment of the Romanian Kingdom; supported by the clandestine Romanian Communist Party (PCR) and its Union of Communist Youth (of which he was a member from 1933), Rădulescu networked with moderate leftists and independents. In 1935, he organized a training camp in Moieciu, which was nearly broken up by the Gendarmes. Gogu Shyamala
Gogu Shyamala is a Telugu-language writer and women's activist and a prominent Dalit. Biography Gogu Shyamala was born in 1969 in Peddemul village in Ranga Reddy district (now part of Telangana). Her parents are agricultural workers. She was also the leader of a vetti (unpaid labour) team that worked for the local landlord. She has stated that her brother Ramachandra was forced into agricultural labour, but she was the only one of her three siblings who obtained higher education. Financial constraints initially prevented her from enrolling in college, however she eventually obtained a Bachelor of Arts from the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University. Gogu Tonca (2 May 1947 – 23 October 2010) was a Romanian footballer who played as a central defender and a manager. Career Gogu Tonca was born on 2 May 1947 in Bucharest and started practicing boxing before reorienting towards football at the junior squads of Steaua București. In 1966 he made his Divizia A debut under coach Ștefan Coidum in a 1–0 loss against Dinamo București. After playing in the first seasons at Jiul Petroșani as a right or left defender, Tonca started to play alongside Andrei Stocker in the central defense, where they became known for their tough way of playing, being considered by some as the most aggressive couple of defenders in Divizia A's history.
