Glenn Diesen
Glenn Eric Andre Diesen (born 1979) is a Norwegian political scientist who is known as a regular commentator on Russia Today (RT). Scandinavian media and Western academics have criticized him for promoting Russian propaganda. Career Diesen earned a PhD from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with a dissertation titled ''Inter-democratic security institutions and the security dilemma''. Until 2020 he was based in Russia and employed by the Moscow-based Higher School of Economics. In 2020 he became an associate professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway, where he was promoted to professor in 2021. He states that he specializes in Russian foreign policy, conservatism and Eurasian integration, and has written several books. He is affiliated with the Valdai Discussion Club, a Russian think tank that is closely associated with Vladimir Putin. The University of South-Eastern Norway ( no, Universitetet i Sørøst-Norge), commonly known as USN, is a Norwegian state university. It has campuses in Bø, Telemark, Porsgrunn, Notodden, Rauland, Drammen, Hønefoss, Kongsberg and Horten. Arne Treholt (born 13 December 1942) is a Norwegian-born, Russia-based convicted felon and former KGB agent who was convicted of treason and espionage on behalf of the Soviet Union against Norway during the Cold War and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
