Gisle Straume
Gisle Straume (26 August 1917 – 1 December 1988) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director. Personal life Straume was born in Holla, the son of farmer and headmaster Eivind Straume and teacher Brita Monsine Skanke Aarnes. He married actress Julia Back in 1948. This marriage was later dissolved, and in 1963 he married journalist and actress Sonja Cora Christensen. Career He was employed at Det Norske Teatret from 1945 to 1951, at Den Nationale Scene from 1951 to 1952, and again at Det Norske Teatret from 1952 to 1955. He served as theatre director at Rogaland Teater from 1956 to 1958, and for Den Nationale Scene from 1963 to 1967, and worked for the National Theatre in Oslo from 1959 to 1963 and from 1967 to 1976. Holla, Telemark
Holla was a parish, district and former municipality now located in the municipality of Nome in Telemark, Norway. History Holla is situated in the traditional region of Midt-Telemark. Holla parish included the churches at Holla and Helgen both in Telemark county. The parish of Holden (Holla) was established as a municipality January 1, 1838 (see formannskapsdistrikt). The municipality centre was Ulefoss. On 1 January 1964 the district of Valebø with 259 inhabitants was moved to Skien. The rest of Holla, then with 4,093 inhabitants, was merged with Lunde to form the new municipality of Nome. The name The municipality (originally the parish) is named after the Holla farm (''Holla gård'') – the biggest farm in Telemark. Knut Thomassen (17 March 1921 – 20 January 2002) was a Norwegian actor and theatre director. He made his stage debut at Det Nye Teater in Oslo in 1941. He served as theatre director of Den Nationale Scene from 1967 to 1976. He was an active participant in organizational work, and chaired National and Scandinavian theatre associations for many years. Bjarne Andersen
Bjarne Andersen (15 January 1909 – 13 August 1982) was a Norwegian actor, stage producer and theatre director. Personal life Andersen was born in Stavanger to Emil Laurentzius Andersen and Ingeborg Bertine Osmondsdatter Udvig. He married librarian Sissel Aanderaa in 1957. Career Andersen worked for Det Norske Teatret from 1944 to 1951. He served as theatre director at Rogaland Teater from 1958 to 1960, and at Den Nationale Scene from 1961 to 1963. He was chairman for the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association from 1967 to 1969. He made his film debut in Tancred Ibsens ''To mistenkelige personer'' (1950). Claes Gill
Claes Gill (13 October 1910 - 11 June 1973) was a Norwegian writer, poet and actor. Born in Odda, but spent his childhood years in Bergen, before moving to Oslo permanently. His most famous works were the poetry book ''Fragment av et magisk liv'' ("Fragment of a magic life") in 1939, followed by ''Ord i jærn'' ("Words in iron") in 1942. Both books were inspired by French Symbolism, and stand as early examples of the modern form. He later became involved in acting, and was director of Rogaland Teater from 1952 til 1956.
