George Gibb (1891 – 7 June 1917) was a Scottish professional footballer who played in the Scottish League for Third Lanark as a left half. Personal life Gibb was serving as an acting lance sergeant in the 1st/9th (Glasgow Highlanders) Battalion of the Highland Light Infantry during the First World War World War I (28 July 1914 11 November 1918), often abbreviated as WWI, was one of the deadliest global conflicts in history. Paul Gibb
Paul Antony Gibb (11 July 1913 – 7 December 1977) was an English cricketer, who played in eight Tests for England from 1938 to 1946. He played first-class cricket for Cambridge University, Yorkshire and Essex, as a right-handed opening or middle order batsman and also kept wicket in many matches. Life and career Gibb was educated at St Edward's School, Oxford, and Emmanuel College, Cambridge. He played first-class cricket for Cambridge University from 1935 to 1938. He was initially chosen as a batsman in his first year, 1935, and also started playing for Yorkshire. He scored 157 not out, his first first-class century and ultimately his second highest score in first-class cricket, in his first innings for Yorkshire in 1935. Nicolas John Gibb (born 3 September 1960) is a British politician serving as Minister of State for Schools since October 2022, having previously held the office from 2010 to 2012 and again from 2015 to 2021. He has served at the Department for Education under Conservative Prime Ministers David Cameron, Theresa May, Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak. A member of the Conservative Party, Gibb has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton since 1997. Maurice Peter Gibb (7 February 1914 – 6 August 2000) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Melbourne in the Victorian Football League The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football league in Australia serving as one of the second-tier regional semi-professional competitions which sit underneath the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). Gibb originally tried out for Carlton but after being rejected was picked up by Melbourne after winning the 1933 Gippsland Football League's best and fairest award, the Trood Medal. Maurice Gibb
Maurice Ernest Gibb (; 22 December 1949 – 12 January 2003) was a British musician. He achieved fame as a member of the pop group Bee Gees. Although his elder brother Barry Gibb and fraternal twin brother Robin Gibb were the group's main lead singers, most of their albums included at least one or two songs featuring Maurice's lead vocals, including " Lay It on Me", "Country Woman" and " On Time". The Bee Gees were one of the most successful pop-rock groups of all time. Gibb started his music career in 1955 in Manchester, England at the age of six joining the skiffle-rock and roll group the Rattlesnakes, which later evolved into the Bee Gees in 1958 after spending three years in Manchester when they moved to Australia. Joel Gibb (born 28 January 1977) is a Berlin-based Canadian artist and singer-songwriter who leads the "gay church folk" group The Hidden Cameras. He was born in Kincardine, Ontario. Career His first involvement with the music scene was as editor of a fanzine devoted to independent bands, ''Glamour Guide for Trash''. He also hosted a college radio show at CFRE-FM in Mississauga, Ontario. At the same time, he was writing his own songs and, in 2001, he released some of his recordings under the name The Hidden Cameras on his own independent record label EvilEvil, a CD entitled '' Ecce Homo''. He then gathered together a group of musicians to perform his work, playing everywhere from art galleries to churches to porn theatres to parks.
