Gerpinnes (; wa, Djerpene) is a Municipalities of Belgium, municipality of Wallonia located in the Hainaut Province, province of Hainaut, Belgium. On 1 January 2018 the municipality had 12,660 inhabitants. The total area is 47.10 km², giving a population density of 269 inhabitants per km². Every year at Whitsun, a large procession is organised in honour of Saint Rolendis (''Sainte Rolende''). Participants are dressed as Napoleonic soldiers, and walk about 40 km around the whole municipality. Florennes
Florennes (; wa, Florene) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Namur, Belgium. As of 1 January 2006, Florennes has a total population of 10,754. The total area is 133.55 km² which gives a population density of 81 inhabitants per km². Acoz Castle
Acoz Castle, also known as the Château Pirmez, is a château in Acoz in the municipality of Gerpinnes, Hainaut, Wallonia, Belgium. History In 1760 the castle came through inheritance into possession of Michel-Joseph d'Udekem de Guertechin (1684-1761). It was owned by d'Udekem d'Acoz family until 1860, when the château was sold to the Pirmez family. During the 19th century it was the home of Belgian author Octave Pirmez.
