Georgian Super Cup
The Georgian Super Cup is a competition consisting of a single football match played between the champions of the Erovnuli Liga and the winners of the Georgian Cup. It was first held in 1996. When a club has won both competitions, the Georgian Cup losing finalists play for the Super Cup. This occurred in 1996, 1997, 2013 and 2014 when Dinamo Tbilisi won the Double A double is a look-alike or doppelgänger; one person or being that resembles another. FC Dinamo Batumi
FC Dinamo Batumi is a Georgian football club based in Batumi, Adjara, and current vice-champion of Erovnuli Liga, the top division of Georgian football system. The club has won the league (2021), the Georgian Cup ( 1997-98) and Super Cup (1997-98, 2022). They have also earned silver medals of the league five times. In 1990 they changed the name to ''FC Batumi'' only to reverse the decision in 1994. Dinamo plays their home matches at Batumi Stadium. History Early period Prior to the formation of this club, there were some other teams existing in the city. FC Torpedo Kutaisi
FC Torpedo Kutaisi is a Georgian professional football club based in Kutaisi, Georgia's third largest city. 'Torpedo Kutaisi' was founded in 1946 and in just three years the club became the winner of the Football Championship of that time. Torpedo's home ground is Ramaz Shengelia Stadium. History The Soviet period FC Torpedo Kutaisi was founded in 1946 on the base of Kutaisi Automotive Plant. In 1949 the club became the winner of the Georgian SSR Championship. In 1959 two football clubs "FC Torpedo Kutaisi" and "FC Locomotive Kutaisi" were united and the name remained "FC Torpedo Kutaisi". FC Metalurgi Rustavi
Metalurgi Rustavi is a defunct Georgian football team based in Rustavi, which has twice won the national league. In Soviet times, the club played under the name "Metalurgi" (Rustavi), then during the independence of Georgia, the club was called "Gorda" (Rustavi) and FC Rustavi. After FC Tbilisi merged with club FC Rustavi in 2006, FC Olimpi Rustavi was established. History Football in Rustavi could be traced back to Metalurgi Rustavi in the Soviet era. Mikheil Meskhi Stadium
The Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, also known as the Lokomotivi Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Tbilisi, Georgia named after the famous Georgian international footballer, Mikheil Meskhi (1937–1991). It is used mostly for football matches, and occasionally for rugby union and rugby league matches. The stadium was renovated in 2001 and has a capacity to hold 27,223 people. FC Sioni Bolnisi
FC Sioni is a Georgian football club based in Bolnisi. Following the 2022 season, they were relegated to Erovnuli Liga Liga 2, the second tier of Georgian league system. The team has once claimed the national league champion's title. Sioni plays their home matches at local stadium named after Tamaz Stepania. History The football club in Bolnisi was founded in 1936. For years they took part in Georgian domestic competitions under the name ''Madneuli''. While being in the second division in early 1990s, the team emerged among the candidates challenging for the top league. FC Ameri Tbilisi
FC Ameri Tbilisi was a Georgian football club based in the district of Gldani in Tbilisi. The club was founded in 2002 and was dissolved in 2009 after a financial troubles. Ameri won promotion for the Second Division after the 2002–03 season. In 2003/04 they finished 12th out of 16 and were to be relegated, but were saved after withdrawal of two teams. In 2004/05 they became the champions of the Second Division, winning promotion to Umaglesi Liga. In 2005/06 they finished seventh in the league, but won the Georgian Cup. 2004-05 Georgian Cup
A coxless four is a rowing boat used in the sport of competitive rowing. It is designed for four persons who propel the boat with sweep oars, without a coxswain. The crew consists of four rowers, each having one oar. There are two rowers on the stroke side (rower's right hand side) and two on the bow side (rower's lefthand side). There is no coxswain, but the rudder is controlled by one of the crew, normally with the rudder cable attached to the toe of one of their shoes which can pivot about the ball of the foot, moving the cable left or right. FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi
FC Locomotive Tbilisi is a Georgian football club from the capital, Tbilisi. During the existence of the USSR the club was a part of the Lokomotiv Voluntary Sports Society. The club has strong connections with the Georgian Railways. History Locomotive was founded on 14 August 1936 as a part of Lokomotiv sports society. The club won Georgian championship in 1937, which gave them the permission to participate in USSR Top League. Their debut season in the highest level of the Soviet football championship came in 1938, where the club took 24th place out of 26 and got relegated. However, the Tbilisi-based club managed to get another promotion during the following season and participated in 1940 Soviet Top League. But they were eventually disqualified from the tournament.
