George Magoha
George Albert Omore Magoha (born circa 1952), is a Kenyan consultant surgeon, academic administrator and technocrat, who serves as the Cabinet Secretary of Education in the Cabinet of Kenya, effective 26 March 2019. Immediately before his current assignment, he was the chairman of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), from 2016 until 2019. He has previously served as the Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi from 2005 until 2015. He is a Professor of Surgery at the University of Nairobi's College of Health Sciences. He concurrently serves as a Consultant Urologist at Kenyatta National Hospital, the teaching hospital of the university. Early life and education He was born in Kisumu in 1952. There are 30 public universities, 30 chartered private universities and 30 universities with Letter of Interim Authority (LIA). Peter Mulwa Felix Mbithi (born 4 July 1956) is a Kenyan veterinary surgeon, academic and former academic administrator, who served as the 7th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi (UoN), Kenya's oldest public university, from January 2015, until July 2019. ''The Standard'' is one of the largest newspapers in Kenya with a 48% market share. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta (born 26 October 1961) is a Kenyan politician who served as the fourth president of Kenya from 2013 to 2022. Strathmore School
Strathmore School is Kenya's first multi-racial school, established in 1961 in the Lavington area of Nairobi. It began as a residential Sixth Form College offering British-styled A-level courses and in 1963 switched from the Cambridge School Certificate Examination to the London GCE. In 1977 it became a full-fledged Secondary school. In 1988, the school began offering education under the KCSE - Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education - curricula which it follows to date. The first batch of Primary school students (6-7 year olds) entered in 1987. It no longer has any boarders. School uniform The school uniform consists of a cream/beige shirt, mid-grey trousers, grey socks and black shoes. The tie has black, white and blue stripes.
