Gary Cohn (comics)
Gary Cohn (born January 25, 1952) is an American comic book writer, and co-creator (with Dan Mishkin) of the DC Comics characters Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld and Blue Devil. Early life Gary Cohn attended Michigan State University earning his bachelor's degree in creative writing (liberal arts) and graduated from Bowling Green State University with an M.A. in 1980. Career Cohn and longtime friend Dan Mishkin entered the comics industry together following a correspondence with Jack C. Harris, an editor at DC Comics. Their first work for the company was the three-page short story "On the Day of His Return" published in ''Time Warp'' #3 (Feb.–March 1980) and drawn by Steve Ditko. In 1983, Cohn and Mishkin created ''Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld'' with artist Ernie Colón. The following year, the writing team and Paris Cullins introduced ''Blue Devil''. The Hardy Boys
The Hardy Boys, brothers Frank and Joe Hardy, are fictional characters who appear in several mystery series for children and teens. The series revolves around teenagers who are amateur sleuths, solving cases that stumped their adult counterparts. The characters were created by American writer Edward Stratemeyer, the founder of book-packaging firm Stratemeyer Syndicate. Shi (Ana Ishikawa) is a fictional comic book character created by writer/illustrator William Tucci. She first appeared in ''Razor Annual'' #1 (1993) and has appeared in numerous books by various publishers ever since, most notably Tucci's own Crusade Comics and the Image Universe. Shi is a young woman of Japanese and American descent trained as a '' sohei'' warrior monk, who struggles to reconcile her Japanese grandfather's martial training with her American mother's Christian teachings. In comic books, an intercompany crossover (also called cross-company or company crossover) is a comic or series of comics in which characters, that at the time of publication are the property or licensed property of one publisher, meet characters owned or licensed by another publisher (for example, DC Comics and Marvel Comics collaborating on '' Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man'' or WildStorm (DC Comics) and Dynamite Entertainment teaming to produce '' Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash''). William Tucci is an illustrator, writer, and filmmaker best known for his creator-owned title and character, '' Shi''. Career Tucci founded Crusade Comics in Bayport, New York Its flagship title, '' Shi'', debuted in March 1994. Publisher Top Cow's character Witchblade and David Mack's character Kabuki debuted in ''Shi'' before going on to their own titles. Barren Earth (comics)
Barren Earth is a Finnish progressive death metal band from Helsinki, and was formed in 2007. Their music is said to be a combination of death metal, progressive rock, and folk music, pulling influence from the different groups each member is associated with. Since their formation, the band has released one EP and four full-length albums.
