Garth Gerhart
Garth Gant Hallquist Gerhart (born October 21, 1988) is an American football Center (American football), center. He attended Arizona State University from 2007 to 2011. Professional career Gerhart was signed by the Cleveland Browns after going undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft before signing with the Packers on January 8, 2013. He was released from the Packers on August 31, 2013. He was signed to the Carolina Panthers' practice squad for the beginning of the 2013 season before shortly being released. Gerhart was signed to the Green Bay Packers' practice squad on October 10, 2013. He was later signed to the active roster before Week 1 of the 2014 season. On January 5, 2016, Gerhart signed a reserve/futures contract with the Cleveland Browns. On September 3, 2016, he was released by the Browns. Center or Centre (C) is a position in gridiron football. The center is the innermost lineman of the offensive line on a football team's offense. The center is also the player who passes (or "snaps") the ball between his legs to the quarterback at the start of each play. The importance of centers for a football team has increased, due to the re-emergence of 3–4 defenses. Tobin Bo Gunnar Gerhart (born March 28, 1987) is a former American football running back. He was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He played college football for Stanford University, and was a unanimous All-American. In 2009 Gerhart won the Doak Walker Award and was the runner-up for the 2009 Heisman Trophy. He received 1,276 points in the Heisman voting, coming in second to Mark Ingram II, who received 1,304 points; the 28-point margin was the closest vote in Heisman history. Gerhart had a breakout senior season in 2009, leading all running backs in the nation in rushing yards, touchdowns, and points scored, and setting several Pac-10 and school records. Todd Gerhart (born December 8, 1962) is a former American football running back who played one season with the Denver Gold of the United States Football League (USFL). He played college football at California State University, Fullerton. He was also a member of the Minnesota Vikings and Houston Oilers of the National Football League (NFL). Early years Gerhart played high school football at Norco High School in Norco, California and was inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame. College career Gerhart played for the Cal State Fullerton Titans from 1981 to 1984. He rushed for career totals of 867 yards and six touchdowns. He also caught 46 passes for 339 yards and one touchdown in his college career. The Heisman Memorial Trophy (usually known colloquially as the Heisman Trophy or The Heisman) is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. It is presented by the Heisman Trophy Trust in early December before the postseason bowl games.
