Giancarlo Galan
Giancarlo Galan (born 10 September 1956 in Padua) is an Italian politician. Political career After having been an activist of the Italian Liberal Party in the 1970s and the 1980s, he was not active in politics until he joined Forza Italia since its foundation in 1994. In the same year he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies. In 1995 he ran successfully for President of Veneto. He was re-elected in 2000 and 2005. He did not stand for re-election in 2010, when the centre-right coalition supported Luca Zaia of Liga Veneta–Lega Nord for President. He was Minister of Agriculture in Silvio Berlusconi's fourth cabinet from 2010 to 2011, filling the place vacated by Zaia. He later served as Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities for a few months in 2011. In 2013 he was elected to the Chamber of Deputies and, consequently, chairman of the Culture Committee. Sandro Sandri
Sandro Sandri (Verona, 18 February 1954) is a Venetist politician. He was a member of Liga Veneta–Lega Nord. After a degree in engineering, Sandri worked as consultant specializing in trademarks and patents. In 1997 he joined Liga Veneta. In the 2005 regional election he was elected to the Regional Council of Veneto, but his election was declared invalid and Sandri stepped down a year later. ''Flavio, re de' Longobardi'' ("Flavio, King of the Lombards", HWV 16) is an opera seria in three acts by George Frideric Handel. The Italian-language libretto was by Nicola Francesco Haym, after Matteo Noris's ''Flavio Cuniberto''. It was Handel's fourth full-length opera for the Royal Academy of Music. Renzo Marangon
Renzo Marangon (born 29 July 1955 in Porto Tolle) is an Italian politician from Veneto. A member of Christian Democracy since 1974, he entered the Regional Council of Veneto in 1993, in replacement of Giulio Veronese. In 1993 he was also briefly Mayor of Rovigo. In 1994 he joined the United Christian Democrats and was elected to the Council the year later. Re-elected in 2000 for Forza Italia (party which he had joined in 1998), he was floor leader of the party for five years. New Italian Socialist Party
The New Italian Socialist Party or New PSI ( it, Nuovo Partito Socialista Italiano or ''Nuovo PSI'', NPSI), more recently styled as Liberal Socialists – NPSI, is a political party in Italy which professes a social-democratic ideology and claims to be the successor to the historical Italian Socialist Party, which was disbanded after the judiciary tempest of the early 1990s (see ''Mani pulite'').
