Gō Katō
was a Japanese entertainer and actor. Katō starred in the long-running TV series ''Ōoka Echizen'' (1970~2006). Overviews The son of an elementary school principal, Katō studied literature and theatre. As an actor, he made his film debut in 1964. Katō rose in popularity through his role as Toshiro Mifune's son in ''Samurai Rebellion''. He performed some of his most famous roles in films directed by Kei Kumai, such as ''The Long Darkness'' (1972), ''Cape of North'' (1976) and ''Death of a Tea Master'' (1989). is a series of popular historical novels written by Shōtarō Ikenami and one of the representative novels of Ikenami along with ''Onihei Hankachō'' and ''Shikakenin Fujieda Baian''. (lit. ''The Never-setting Sun'') is a 2009 Japanese film directed by Setsurō Wakamatsu. It is also known as ''The Unbroken'' in the United States. ''Shizumanu Taiyō'' is based on a novel by Toyoko Yamasaki which centers on Hajime Onchi, an employee of "NAL," a large national airline. The first part of the novel focuses on Onchi's activity as the chairman of the employees' union in the 1960s; his reward for fighting for better working conditions for the staff is a series of postings abroad, to Pakistan, Iran, and finally Kenya, a destination to which the company does not even fly. The second and third parts of the novel take place in 1985 and chronicle the crash of a jumbo jet and its aftermath within the company. Otto Heinrich Frank (12 May 1889 – 19 August 1980) was a German businessman, and the father of Anne Frank. He edited and published the first edition of her diary in 1947 (subsequently known in English as ''The Diary of a Young Girl'') and advised on its later theatrical and cinematic adaptations. , whose birth name was , was a daimyō and celebrated master of the Japanese tea ceremony. He was originally a retainer of Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Biography His teacher in the tea ceremony was Sen no Rikyū. He became the foremost tea master in the land after Rikyū's death, and taught this art to the shōgun Tokugawa Hidetada. Among his other particularly famous tea ceremony students were Ueda Sōko, Kobori Enshū and Hon'ami Kōetsu.
