Güntzelstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn List of Berlin U-Bahn stations, station on the line. It is located in the central Wilmersdorf district of the city. Berlin U-Bahn
The Berlin U-Bahn (; short for , "underground railway") is a rapid transit system in Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany, and a major part of the city's public transport system. Together with the Berlin S-Bahn, S-Bahn, a network of suburban train lines, and a Trams in Berlin, tram network that operates mostly in the eastern parts of the city, it serves as the main means of transport in the capital. Wilmersdorf () is an inner-city locality of Berlin which lies south-west of the central city. Formerly a borough by itself, Wilmersdorf became part of the new Boroughs of Berlin, borough of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf following Berlin's 2001 administrative reform. Spichernstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the and the lines, located in Wilmersdorf neighbourhood. The U3 (then called ''AII'' and ''BII'') portion opened on 2 June 1959, replacing the nearby Nürnberger Platz station, which was closed and dismantled. The U9 portion, which lies deeper underground, opened on 28 August 1961 as the southern terminus of the new line, then called ''G''. The eponymous street is named after Spicheren in Lorraine, France, site of the 1870 Battle of Spicheren. ''Wings of Desire'' (, ; ) is a 1987 romantic fantasy film written by Wim Wenders, Peter Handke and Richard Reitinger, and directed by Wenders. The film is about invisible, immortal angels who populate Berlin and listen to the thoughts of its human inhabitants, comforting the distressed. Even though the city is densely populated, many of the people are isolated or estranged from their loved ones. One of the angels, played by Bruno Ganz, falls in love with a beautiful, lonely trapeze artist, played by Solveig Dommartin. The angel chooses to become mortal so that he can experience human sensory pleasures, ranging from enjoying food to touching a loved one, and so that he can discover human love with the trapeze artist. Solveig Dommartin
Solveig Dommartin (; 16 May 1961 – 11 January 2007) was a French actress. Her acting career began in the theatre with Compagnie Timothee Laine and with the Theater Labor Warschau. She had her first experiences with film as an assistant of Jacques Rozier. Her debut as a film actress was in ''Wings of Desire'' (1987), by Wim Wenders, with whom she was in a relationship. She learned circus acrobatics for the role in only eight weeks, and performed without using a stunt double. She co-authored '' Until the End of the World'' (1991) with Wenders and travelled around the world with him in search of locations for the project.
