Güngör Uras
Tevfik Güngör Uras (22 July 1933 – 19 August 2018) was a Turkish economist, journalist, academic and author. He wrote more than ten thousand economic articles in various newspapers. In general, he tried to explain the economy simply to his readers. To accomplish this goal, he explained simple economic issues in daily life by creating the imaginary characters of "Aunt Ayşe" and "Uncle Ali Rıza" in some of his writings. Life He was born in 1933 in Düzce to a civil servant. After finishing his studies at Ankara College, he graduated from the Finance Department of the Faculty of Political Science, Ankara University (1955). Afterwards, he completed his PhD at the Faculty of Economics of Istanbul University and became an associate professor at Boğaziçi University (1988) and a professor at Marmara University (1994). Düzce Province
Düzce Province () is a Provinces of Turkey, province in northwestern Turkey. The province is on the coastline of the Black Sea and is traversed by the main highway between Istanbul and Ankara. ''Sabah'' is a Turkish daily newspaper, with a circulation of around 330,000 as of 2011. Its name means "morning" in Turkish language, Turkish. The newspaper was founded in İzmir by Dinç Bilgin on 22 April 1985. In 2007, the government of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan seized the newspaper, citing a legal document that had not been disclosed to authorities when ''Sabah'' was sold in 2001. Ownership of the newspaper was given to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Turkey.
