Gülyazı () is a village in the Uludere District of Şırnak Province in Turkey. The village is populated by Kurds of the Goyan and Sindî tribes and had a population of 3,907 in 2023. Uludere District
Uludere District is a district of the Şırnak Province of Turkey. In 2023, the district had a population of 46,740. The seat of the district is the town of Uludere. Its area is 841 km2. The district was formed in 1957. Around 90% of the district is populated by Kurds from the Goyan tribe. The Kaşuran tribe also reside in the district. Şırnak Province
Şırnak Province (, ) is a Provinces of Turkey, province in Turkey in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Şırnak Province was created in 1990, with areas that were formerly part of the Siirt Province, Siirt, Hakkâri Province, Hakkâri and Mardin Provinces. It borders both Kurdistan Region of Iraq and Syria. The current Wāli, Governor of the province is Cevdet Atay. The province had a population of 570,745 in 2023. Its area is 7,078 km2. Ferhat Encü
Ferhat Encü (born 5 August 1985) is a Kurds, Kurdish politician and former member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Turkish Parliament in the Şırnak Province. Encü is well known for a speech that he gave on the floor of the Parliament in Ankara. In his speech, Encü criticized the Turkish government for their alleged violence and mistreatment of the Kurds. After delivering the speech, Encü was arrested and stripped of his parliamentary immunity. Early life Encü was born on August 5, 1985, in the village of Gülyazı, Uludere, Gülyazı in Uludere district of the Şırnak Province in Turkey. He attended and graduated from high school in Turkey and speaks Kurdish at a very high level.
