Güllük is a neighbourhood of the municipality and district of Milas, Muğla Province, Turkey. Its population is 6,866 (2022). Before the 2013 reorganisation, it was a town (''belde''). It is situated north of Bodrum. It is a small Turkish town and a growing holiday destination. Transport Güllük is 9 km. from Milas-Bodrum Airport (BJV), which makes the town easily accessible. Bodrum is approximately 42 km. from Güllük. There are shuttle minivans connecting Güllük to Milas and Bodrum. Milas
Milas is a municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Muğla Province, Turkey. Its area is 2,067 km2, and its population is 147,416 (2022). The city commands a region with an active economy and is very rich in history and ancient remains, the territory of Milas containing a remarkable twenty-seven archaeological sites of note. The city was the first capital of ancient Caria and of the Anatolian beylik of Menteşe (beylik), Menteşe in mediaeval times. Belde
Belde (literally "town", also known as ''kasaba'') means "large village with a municipality" in Turkish language, Turkish. All Turkish province centers and district centers have municipalities, but the Villages of Turkey, villages are usually too small to have municipalities. The population in some villages may exceed 2000 and in such villages a small municipality may be established depending on residents' choice. Such villages are called ''belde''. Up to 2014 the number of ''belde'' municipalities was about 1400. On 30 March 2014 by the act no. 6360 all villages (those with and without municipality) were included in the urban fabric of the district municipalities in 30 provinces. Thus ''belde'' municipalities in 30 provinces were abolished. The number of abolished ''belde'' municipalities is 1040. Bodrum
Bodrum () is a town and district of Muğla Province, Turkey. About 200 thousand people live in the district, which covers 650 km2 and includes the town. It is a port town at the entrance to the Gulf of Gökova. Known in ancient times as Halicarnassus, the town was once home to the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, also known as the tomb of Mausolus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The town was founded by Dorian Greeks. It later fell under Persian rule and became the capital of the satrapy of Caria.
