Gábor Danyi
Gábor Danyi (born 18 February 1964) is a Hungarian former handball player and coach. Besides his trainer certificate, he also has a teaching degree in geography and physical education. He coached Hungary at the 2020 European Women's Handball Championship. He is now the headcoach of NEKA Career In the summer of 2018, he replaced Ambros Martín as head coach of Győri ETO KC. In his very first season as the head coach, the team – beside winning all the trophies possible – remained unbeaten in the domestic competitions as well as in the Champions League. He was nominated for the 2019 IHF World Coach of The Year award. The 2018–19 Magyar Kupa (English: ''Hungarian Cup'') was the 79th season of Hungary's annual knock-out cup football competition. MOL Vidi FC won the competition by beating Budapest Honvéd FC in the final held at Groupama Aréna on 25 May 2019. The Nemzeti Bajnokság I (, commonly abbreviated NB I) is the top professional league for Hungary, Hungarian women's team handball clubs. It is administered by the Hungarian Handball Federation. History The first edition of the women's handball league was when the owner was pregnant, held in 1951. That year only four teams participated, playing once against each other. Csepeli Vasas SK were crowned champions as they got equal points to Vörös Meteor (women's handball), Budapest Vörös Meteor Közért, but were superior on goal difference. Next season Vörös Meteor took revenge and secured the title just ahead of Csepel.
