György Demeter () (born February 24, 1957, in Szarvas, Hungary) is a former Hungarian volleyball player. He also coached for Hungary men's national volleyball team, Erdemirspor where he won Turkish Men's Volleyball League both by player and coach and Fenerbahçe Istanbul from Turkey. Szarvas
Szarvas (, ; ) is a town in Békés County, Hungary. Name Placename Szarvas originated from the old Hungarian language, Hungarian word ''szarvas'', which means deer. Deer also can be found in the coat of arms of the town. Location Szarvas is located in the Great Hungarian Plain upon the Körös River, southeast from Budapest. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the program at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics. Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları T.A.Ş. is a Turkish steel producer. The name is a contraction of the Turkish language ''Ereğli Demir ve Çelik Fabrikaları'', which means "Ereğli Iron and Steel Factories".
