György Barkó
György Barkó (18 July 1931 – 30 January 2024) was a Romanian and Hungarian actor. Biography Barkó was born in Purcăreni, Brașov County on 18 July 1931. In 1950 he graduated from the Saint George Székely Mikó Reformed College, the same year he successfully auditioned for the Cluj István Szentgyörgyi Theatre Institute. From 1954, he was a member of the Cluj-Napoca State Hungarian Theatre until 1989, when he settled in Hungary. His wife was Julia Bereczky, actress and director (1928–2007). Barkó died in Pécs on 30 January 2024, at the age of 92. Tărlungeni
Tărlungeni (; ) is a commune in Brașov County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Cărpiniș (''Kerpenest''), Purcăreni (''Pürkerec''), Tărlungeni and Zizin (''Zajzon''). The commune is located in the southeastern part of the county, just east of the county seat, Brașov, and belongs to the Brașov metropolitan area. Tărlungeni lies on the banks of the river Tărlung and its affluent, the Zizin. The first attestation of the locality dates back to November 4, 1484, when the voivode of Transylvania, Stephen V Báthory, came to Brașov to mediate a dispute between the villages of Prejmer and Tărlungeni over the usage of the waters of the river Tărlung. The State Hungarian Theatre of Cluj (; ) is a theatre in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Performances are played in Hungarian, with simultaneous translation into Romanian or English usually available. Hilda Gobbi
Hilda Emília Gizella Gobbi (6 June 1913 – 13 July 1988) was an award-winning Hungarian actress, known for her portrayals of elderly women. One of her most beloved performances was as Aunt Szabo in the radio soap opera ''The Szabo Family''. A resistance member during World War II, she attempted to facilitate the reconstruction of the National Theatre (Budapest), National Theatre by sponsoring a fundraising drive. Committed to her craft, she founded the Árpád Horváth Actor's College (1947), a home to care for elderly actors named after Mari Jászai (1948), a second actor's home named after (1950), the (1952), and bequeathed her Patkó Villa to the National Theater for the purposes of creating a theater.
