György Andrássy (general)
Count György Andrássy de Csíkszentkirály et Krasznahorka (February 5, 1797 – December 19, 1872) was a Hungarian nobleman, Imperial and Royal Chamberlain, Privy Councillor, Master of Cup-bearers, Chairman of the ''Tisza Rail Track Corporation and Upper Hungary Mining Association''. He served as judge royal from 1863 to 1865. He was one of the founders of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He supported the creation of that scientific organization with 10 500 Ft. Pest () is the part of Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, that lies on the eastern bank of the Danube. The full family name is ''Andrássy de Csíkszentkirály et Krasznahorka''. Csíkszentkirály is a town in modern-day Romania, now called Sâncrăieni, while Krásna Hôrka is a castle in Slovakia. György Majláth (1818–1883)
György Majláth (7 December 1818 – 29 March 1883), also known by his German name Georg von Majláth, was a Hungarian politician. Majláth was born in Pressburg (Pozsony), Kingdom of Hungary (today Bratislava, Slovakia), to György Majláth, also a Hungarian politician. He entered the civil service of the county of Baranya, of which he was deputy from 1839 to 1843. The legislature appointed him administrator of the county in 1843, and county head in 1848. However he withdrew to private life during the Hungarian Revolution of 1848. He reentered politics a decade later, playing a large part from 1859 in a strengthened legislature. In 1866 he became Chancellor of Hungary, and later the ''judex curiae'' (judge royal) of Hungary. György Apponyi
Count György Apponyi de Nagyappony (29 December 1808 – 28 February 1899) was a Hungarian conservative politician, who served as Lord Chancellor of Hungary from 1846 to 1848. He was a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences since 1858. He was appointed Speaker of the House of Magnates in 1861 when Emperor Francis Joseph I convened Hungarian Diet of 1861. As leader of the "old conservative" group he participated in development of the Austro-Hungarian Compromise after 1862. Career György Apponyi came from the noble Apponyi family. He served as a secretary of the Hungarian Court Chancellery. From 1843/44 he became politically active.
