Guðmundur Steinarsson
Guðmundur Steinarsson (born 20 October 1979) is an Icelandic international former footballer who played as a striker. Steinarsson is currently assistant manager at Fjölnir. He spent the majority of his playing career with Keflavík, where he started his career in 1996, playing more than 250 league games for the club. Guðmundur has also had spells in Denmark and Switzerland with Brønshøj BK and FC Vaduz. Career Club career Guðmundur began his career in 1996 with Keflavík, and went on to score 28 goals in 82 league matches over the following six years. During the 1999 season, he had a spell on loan at KA Akureyri. Guðmundur left Keflavík in July 2002 in order to move to Denmark to play with Brønshøj BK. He played 15 matches for the Danish club, and spent the 2003 campaign on loan in Iceland with Fram Reykjavik. FC Aarau
FC Aarau is a Swiss football club based in Aarau. They play in the Swiss Challenge League, the second tier of Swiss football after being relegated from Swiss Super League. History FC Aarau was formed on 26 May 1902 by workers from a local brewery. The early days of the club were a success and they won the Swiss championship in 1911–12 and then again in 1913–14. The club spent 25 years, from 1907 to 1933, in the top league but were relegated to the lower league and were unable to return to the top flight for a number of decades. In the 1980–81 season the club were able to return to the top league in the Swiss football pyramid after a 3–1 victory over Vevey-Sports. Keflavík ÍF (Keflavík, íþrótta- og ungmennafélag) is an Icelandic sports club, from the town of Reykjanesbær. The club has several divisions for different sports: football, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, badminton, shooting, and taekwondo. Its biggest divisions are Knattspyrnudeild Keflavíkur (football) and Körfuknattleiksdeild Keflavíkur (basketball). Basketball Keflavík's basketball subdivision, Körfuknattleiksdeild Keflavíkur, is one of the most successful basketball clubs in Iceland with its men's and women's teams winning multiple titles over the years. The Besta deild karla () is the top level men's football league in Iceland. The competition was founded in 1912 as the Icelandic Championship. Because of the harsh winters in Iceland, it is generally played in the spring and summer (May to September). It is governed by the Football Association of Iceland (KSI) and has 12 teams. By end of season 2015–16, UEFA ranked the league No. 35 in Europe.
