Gustine, Texas
Gustine is a town located in Comanche County in Central Texas, United States. The population was 476 at the 2010 census. The town, formerly known as Cora, was the county seat in the 1850s. Jim Reese, a Republican politician who served as the mayor of Odessa, Texas, from 1968 to 1974, was born in Gustine in 1929 and graduated from Gustine High School. Geography Gustine is located at (31.845487, –98.402463). According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , all of it land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, 457 people, 180 households, and 129 families were residing in the town. The population density was 500.6 people/sq mi (193.9/km2). The 215 housing units averaged 235.5/sq mi (91.2/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 89.28% White, 10.28% from other races, and 0.44% from two or more races.
