Guishan Guanyin Of The Thousand Hands And Eyes
The Guishan Guanyin of the Thousand Hands and Eyes is located in Ningxiang, Hunan province, and is the fourth-tallest statue in China, and the sixth-tallest in the world, found at Miyin Temple, a Chan Buddhist temple. It is a gilded bronze monument depicting a manifestation of the Guanyin, Bodhisattva Guanyin known as ''Shiyimian Qianshou Guanyin'' (Traditional Chinese: 十一面千手觀音, Simplified Chinese: 十一面千手观音), meaning the "Eleven-headed Thousand-armed Guanyin", which stands at tall. Tortoise Mountain TV Tower
Tortoise Mountain TV Tower () is a high TV Tower in Hanyang District, Wuhan, Hubei, China. It is a concrete tower equipped with an observation deck in a height of . It does not stand directly upon the hill, which is occupied by an ancient temple complex (Qing Chuan Ge () from the Three Kingdoms, Song, and Ming dynasties). Guishan TV Tower is China's first self-developed TV tower, opened in 1986. Dong Guishan (; born July 1946) is a retired lieutenant general in the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of the People's Republic of China, who served as commander of the PLA Tibet Military District from 2004 to 2008. Biography Born in Xiping County, Henan Province, Dong joined the People's Liberation Army (PLA) in December 1964, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in January 1966. He has served in various posts in Tibet Military District during his career, and was elevated to vice chief of staff of the region in June 1988. Guishan Island is an island in the Pearl River estuary near Zhuhai, China and Lantau Island. The island is part of the Wanshan Archipelago and is administrated as part of Xiangzhou District of Guangdong Province. Geography Guishan is an island in the Pearl River estuary. Macheng () is a city in northeastern Hubei province, People's Republic of China, bordering the provinces of Henan to the north and Anhui to the northeast.
