Guillermo Ortiz Martínez
Guillermo Ortiz Martínez (born July 21, 1948, in Mexico City) is the son of Gen. Leopoldo Ortiz Sevilla and Graciela Martínez Ostos. He received a B.A. in economics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University in the United States. He joined the public service in 1971 and has been Mexico's ambassador to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). While at the IMF, he acted as executive director and represented seven countries, including Spain. Martínez served as public finance minister of Mexico from December 1994 to December 1997. He served as Secretary of Finance and Public Credit in Mexico from 1994 to 1998. He served as Secretary of Communications and Transportation in the Mexican Federal Government. Vicente Fox Quesada (; born 2 July 1942) is a Mexican businessman and politician who served as the 62nd president of Mexico from 2000 to 2006.
