Grêmio Esportivo Mauaense
Grêmio Esportivo Mauaense, commonly known as Mauaense, is a Brazilian football club based in Mauá, São Paulo state. It currently plays the Campeonato Paulista Segunda Divisão, the fourth tier of the São Paulo state league. The club was founded in 1981 and spent most of its history in the bottom tiers of the Campeonato Paulista, and has never qualified for the Campeonato Brasileiro. Known as the ''Locomotiva'' due to Mauá's status as a railway town, Mauaense had its best seasons from 1985 to 1987, when the club won the Campeonato Paulista Série A3 and played in the second division of the ''Paulistão'' for two consecutive years. Their home ground is Pedro Benedetti Stadium, which has a maximum capacity of 11,986, although only up to 8,567 fans are allowed in by the Military Firefighters Corps. ABC Region
The ABC Region is an industrial region in Greater São Paulo, Brazil. The name refers to three smaller cities south of São Paulo, capital of the Brazilian state of the same name. Originally, these three cities were Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo, and São Caetano do Sul. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D), commonly known as the Série D or the Brazilian Série D to distinguish it from the Italian Serie D, is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on 9 April 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. Campeonato Paulista Série A3 is the third tier of the professional state football league in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. It is run by the São Paulo State Football Federation (FPF). The tournament has been known as Série A3 since the 1993–94 season. Structure The current format of the Paulistão A3 was introduced in 2018, after the number of teams was decreased from 20 to 16. In Brazil, the Military Firefighters Corps () are military public security forces, responsible for civil defense, firefighting and search and rescue inside the federative units.
