Gréta Mayer
Gréta Mayer (born 26 September 2006) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. She is a three-time European junior medalist. Early life Gréta Mayer was born in Dunaújváros, Hungary on 26 September 2006. Gymnastics career Espoir: 2017–19 Mayer competed at the 2017 Tournoi International where she placed third in the all-around behind Italians Angela Andreoli and Giulia Messali. She next competed at the Hungarian Master Championships where she placed seventh in the all-around, third on balance beam, and fourth on floor exercise. In May 2018 Mayer competed at the Elek Matolay Memorial where she placed first in the espoir all-around and on vault, uneven bars, and balance beam. She placed sixth on floor exercise. In June she competed at Gym Festival Trnava where she placed second in the all-around behind Dagmara Pyzio of Poland. Dunaújváros
Dunaújváros (; also known by #Etymology and names, alternative names) is an industrial city in Fejér County, Central Hungary. It is a city with county rights. Situated 70 kilometres (43 miles) south of Budapest on the Danube, the city is best known for its steelworks, which is the largest in the country. Gymnastics Floor
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, considered an apparatus. The floor exercise (English abbreviation FX) is the event performed on the floor, in both women's and men's artistic gymnastics (WAG and MAG). The same floor is used for WAG FX and MAG FX, but rules and scoring differ; most obviously, a WAG FX routine is synchronised to a piece of recorded dance music, whereas MAG FX has no musical accompaniment. A spring floor is used in all gymnastics to provide more bounce and help prevent potential injuries to gymnasts' lower extremity joints due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. Cheerleading also uses spring floors for practice. The sprung floor used for indoor athletics is designed to reduce bounce. The balance beam is a rectangular artistic gymnastics apparatus and an event performed using the apparatus. The apparatus and the event are sometimes simply called "beam". The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is BB. The balance beam is performed competitively only by female gymnasts.
