Grégory Tarlé
Grégory Tarlé (born 11 April 1983) is a French ice hockey coach and the current head coach of the French women's national team. Prior to his coaching career, he played as a forward with the Docks du Havre and the Bisons de Neuilly-sur-Marne. Coaching career Tarlé started with the national team as an assistant coach to head coach Christine Duchamp ahead of the 2011 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II. He remained in role until being promoted to head coach in 2013. His first major tournament as head coach was the 2014 IIHF Women's World Championship Division I Group A. Under Tarlé, France achieved promotion to the World Championship Top Division tournament for the first time in national team history and made their debut at the 2019 IIHF Women's World Championship. Forward (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a forward is a player, and a position on the ice, whose primary responsibility is to score and assist goals. Generally, the forwards try to stay in three different lanes of the ice from goal to goal. It is not mandatory, however, to stay in a lane. Staying in a lane aids in forming the common offensive strategy known as a triangle. One forward obtains the puck and then the forwards pass it between themselves making the goalie move side to side. This strategy opens up the net for scoring opportunities. This strategy allows for a constant flow of the play, attempting to maintain the control of play by one team in the offensive zone. The forwards can pass to the defence players playing at the Blue line (ice hockey), blue line, thus freeing up the play and allowing either a shot from the point (blue line position where the defence stands) or a pass back to the offence. 2011 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships – Division II
The 2011 IIHF Women's World Championship Division II was an international ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation. It was played in Caen, France, from 4 to 10 April 2011. Division II represented the third tier of the IIHF Women's World Championship.
