Grzegorz Łomacz
Grzegorz Łomacz (born 1 October 1987) is a Polish professional volleyball player who plays as a setter for Skra Bełchatów and the Poland men's national volleyball team, Poland national team. With Poland, Łomacz won the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, 2018 World Champion title and took part in 3 Olympic Games – 2016 Summer Olympics, Rio 2016, 2020 Summer Olympics, Tokyo 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics, Paris 2024, winning a silver medal at the latter. Career Club Łomacz is a silver medallist of the Volleyball at the 2013 Summer Universiade, 2013 Summer Universiade held in Kazan. For 3 seasons, he was a player and captain of Trefl Gdańsk. In 2014, he signed a contract with Cuprum Lubin. After a good season and 6th place in PlusLiga, he decided to leave the club from Lubin. Ostrołęka
Ostrołęka (; ) is a small city in northeastern Poland on the Narew river, about northeast of Warsaw, with a population of 51,012 (2021) and an area of . 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League
The 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League was the third edition of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League, an annual men's international volleyball tournament. The 2021 version of VNL was scheduled to start earlier than the previous edition due to the 2020 Summer Olympics in July. The competition was held between May and June 2021, and the final round took place in Rimini Fiera, Rimini, Italy. Brazil claimed their first VNL title after beating Poland in four sets. France swept Slovenia in three sets and grabbed the bronze medal. Both Wallace de Souza from Brazil and Bartosz Kurek from Poland named as MVPs of the tournament. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 14 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship (). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. The 2021 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 32nd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, CEV. The 2023 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 33rd edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, European Volleyball Confederation, CEV.
