Grant Nisbett
Grant Wallace Nisbett (born 26 December 1950) is a New Zealand sports broadcaster and former TAB media liaison. He is the lead rugby commentator for SKY Network Television and called his 300th test match between the All Blacks and France at Westpac Stadium on 16 June 2018. His career spans over 40 plus years. Nisbett was educated at Rongotai College in Wellington and captained the 1st XV in 1968. He played No.8 then moved in to prop while playing for his club Poneke in his later years. Nisbett played one first-class match for the Wellington Colts against Horowhenua in 1970. Nisbett also played club cricket to a 'modest level'. His radio career started in 1968 when he chose the NZBC over a physical education degree at Otago University. He frequently tells stories about playing sport on a Saturday, then rushing back to the radio studio to broadcast the weekend's results. Ian Smith (New Zealand Cricketer)
Ian David Stockley Smith (born 28 February 1957) is a New Zealand cricket commentator and former cricketer. He played as a wicket-keeper for New Zealand cricket team, New Zealand throughout the 1980s and part of the 1990s. Early life Ian Smith was born in Nelson, New Zealand to a family of keen golfers. They moved to Wanganui when he was one and then to Wellington when he was eight years old. It was here where Smith first played cricket at the Miramar Park Cricket Club. He was initially an off spinner who "batted a bit". He was a member of the Wellington Primary Schools' team and was selected for the North Island Primary Schools' team and captained the North Island under-12 soccer team in 1969. Member Of The New Zealand Order Of Merit
The New Zealand Order of Merit is an order of merit in the New Zealand royal honours system. It was established by royal warrant on 30 May 1996 by Elizabeth II, Queen of New Zealand, "for those persons who in any field of endeavour, have rendered meritorious service to the Crown and nation or who have become distinguished by their eminence, talents, contributions or other merits", to recognise outstanding service to the Crown and people of New Zealand in a civil or military capacity. In the order of precedence, the New Zealand Order of Merit ranks immediately after the Order of New Zealand. ''Rugby Challenge'' is a Rugby video game, developed by Sidhe and published by Tru Blu Entertainment. Rugby Challenge was released on 26 August 2011 in New Zealand for consoles and was released on 2 September for Australia and 8 September for South Africa. The release date for Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge (rest of the world, excluding US/Canada) was 14 October. All NA versions except for PlayStation Vita were released 20 October, Tru Blu handled the PC and PS3 versions with Mad Catz handling the Xbox 360 version. Tony Johnson (broadcaster)
Tony Johnson (born 29 August 1959) is a New Zealand rugby commentator and presenter for SKY Television. Johnson hails from Picton and played for the Queen Charlotte College 1st XV as a lock and loose forward before playing club senior reserves. He also played premier cricket, basketball, golf and participated in swimming. He suffers from peripheral neuropathy after first noticing a sore hip when he was in his late teens. That developed to weakness in his left leg and arm in his early 20s. He walks with a profound limp. Johnson was made to give up sport but was always captivated by radio. Andrew Philip Mehrtens (born 28 April 1973) is a New Zealand former rugby union player. He was regarded as a top first five-eighth, having played first for Canterbury in 1993, before being selected for the All Blacks (New Zealand's national team) in 1995 when he played in the 1995 World Cup. Jeffrey William Wilson (born 24 October 1973) is a New Zealand sportsman who has represented his country in both rugby union and cricket – a so-called "Double All Black", an increasingly rare achievement in the professional era. Justin Marshall
Justin Warren Marshall (born 5 August 1973) is a New Zealand former rugby union player. He played 81 games for the New Zealand All Blacks between 1995 and 2005. Marshall played for the in the Super 12 from 1996 to 2005, winning the competition five times. He subsequently moved to Europe and had spells playing for Leeds Tykes, the Ospreys, Montpellier and Saracens. He is now a Sky Sports commentator in New Zealand for most All Blacks games and other provincial matches.
