Graham Cornes
Graham Studley Cornes OAM (born 31 March 1948 in Melbourne, Victoria) is a former Australian rules footballer and coach, as well as a media personality. From 1995 until early 2013, Cornes co-hosted a weekday drivetime sports program that he hosts on Adelaide radio station 5AA, first with Ken "KG" Cunningham and, following Cunningham's retirement in 2008, with Stephen Rowe. In 2012 he was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame. Cornes is also a Vietnam veteran, having served as an infantry soldier with the 7th Battalion of the Royal Australian Regiment in 1968. Playing career Cornes was a champion with the Glenelg Football Club in the SANFL, between 1967 and 1982. He played mostly at Ruck Rover in the SANFL and centre half-forward. In his 317 club games for Glenelg he kicked 339 goals and won the club best and fairest award three times. SANFL
The South Australian National Football League, or SANFL ( or ''S-A-N-F-L''), is an Australian rules football league based in the Australian state of South Australia. The Order of Australia is an Australian honours and awards system, Australian honour that recognises Australian citizens and other persons for outstanding achievement and service. Stephen Rowe (footballer)
Stephen Rowe (born 3 November 1965) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the South Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), the Norwood Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and the Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Rowe started his senior career at South Fremantle in 1985, having won the Jack Clarke Medal as the best player in the 1984 WAFL Colts season. After two seasons in the WAFL seniors, Rowe crossed to Norwood and went on to win their "best and fairest" award in 1990. At the end of the year he was recruited by Adelaide, where he would spend five seasons. A rover, he had 30 disposals against Essendon in just his second league game but could only put together 11 appearances in his first two seasons. Ron Barassi
Ronald Dale Barassi (27 February 1936 – 16 September 2023) was an Australian rules footballer, coach and media personality. Regarded as one of the greatest and most important figures in the history of the game, Barassi was the first player to be inaugurated into the Australian Football Hall of Fame as a "Australian Football Hall of Fame#Legends, Legend", and he is one of four Australian rules footballers to be elevated to the same status in the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Awards, Sport Australia Hall of Fame. Jim Main (12 March 1943 – 8 August 2022) was an Australian sports journalist and writer. He is known especially for his coverage of Australian rules football, especially his book ''More Than a Century of AFL Grand Finals'' (2001–2005), some editions of which he co-authored with Rohan Connolly. He studied law at the University of Melbourne and later graduated from La Trobe University with a bachelor of arts degree. Main worked at the Melbourne ''Herald'' and later on London's ''Daily Express''. He was later sports editor of ''The Australian'' for more than 10 years. He covered several Commonwealth Games and Olympic Games and won a Walkley Award for his coverage of the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh. In Australian rules football, the centre half-forward is a position on the half-forward line of a football field. The directly opposing player is a centre half-back.
