Krishnanagar (; ) is a city and a municipality. in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the headquarters of the Nadia district. Kazi Nazrul Islam (24 May 1899 – 29 August 1976) was a Bengalis, Bengali poet, short story writer, journalist, lyricist and musician. He is the national poet of Bangladesh.
