Goriče () is a village near Golnik in the Urban Municipality of Kranj, Municipality of Kranj in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia . Geography Goriče stands at the foot of Mount Križe (, 1,473 m), also known as Mount Zalog (). It has a sunny exposure in a somewhat damp area along Sevnica Creek, which is subject to flash flooding during storms. Name Goriče was attested in written sources in 1221 as ''Gorschach'' (and as ''Görczah'' in 1353 and ''Nider Goertschach'' in 1415). Like the structurally similar name ''Goričane'', the name ''Goriče'' was originally a plural demonym, ''*Goričane'' 'residents of Gorica', derived from the common place name ''Gorica'' (literally, 'small mountain') and referring to the local topography. Dvorna in Državna Tiskarna, p. 54.) is a settlement near Golnik in the Urban Municipality of Kranj, Municipality of Kranj in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia. Name The name of the settlement was changed from ''Srednja vas'' to ''Srednja vas - Goriče'' in 1953. In the past the German name was ''Srednawas''. Cultural heritage The house at the Crk farm () at no. 17 in Srednja Vas–Goriče is registered as cultural heritage. It is a two-story manor house with a half-hip roof, window frames carved from tuff, cast-iron window gratings, and a balcony, dating from the mid-19th century and standing along the road from Goriče, Kranj, Goriče to Zalog, Kranj, Zalog.
