Gonzalo Castañeda (born 24 January 1947) is an Ecuadorian former footballer. He played in four matches for the Ecuador national football team in 1975. The tournament saw many significant shifts to its format, such as changing its name from South American Championship to Copa América and altering from a round-robin tournament to incorporating a group stage, a knockout round, and a final.
