Golam Robbani Choton
Golam Robbani Choton () (born 2 July 1968) is a Bangladeshi professional football manager and former player, who is the current managing Bangladesh Army Football Team. He was the former head coach of Bangladesh women's under-14, Bangladesh women's under-17, Bangladesh women's under-20 and Bangladesh women's national football team. He is considered as the pioneer of Bangladesh women's football. Golam Robbani had played for Fakirerpool Young Men's Club and Arambagh KS for most of his playing career as a defender. Early years Golam Robbani Choton was born on July 2, 1968, in Bogra, Bangladesh and spent his childhood there. But, he and his family originally from Tangail. Career In the 1983–84 season, he began his senior playing career by playing for Basabo Tarun Sangha, where he spent three seasons. Then, he joined Fakirerpool Young Men's Club in the 1987–88 season. Bogra (), List of renamed places in Bangladesh, officially Bogura, is a city located in Bogra District, Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh. The SAFF U-15/U-16/U-17 Women's Championship is association football tournament for women's national teams under the age of 15/16/17. The 2021 SAFF U-19 Women's Championship was the second edition of the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship, an international football competition for women's under-19 national teams organized by SAFF. South Asian Games
The South Asian Games is a quadrennial multi-sport event held among athletes from South Asia. The South Asia Olympic Council, which was formed in 1983, governs it. The Games consist of seven countries, namely Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan had participated in the Games four times, but left the SAOC after participating in 2016. The first South Asian Games were hosted by Kathmandu, Nepal in 1984. From 1984 to 1987 they were held every year except 1986, as it was a year of Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. From 1987 onwards, they have been held every two years except for some occasions. In 2004, the South Asian Sports Council decided to rename the games from the South Asian Federation Games to the South Asian Games as officials believed the word federation was diminishing the emphasis on the event and acting as a barrier to attracting spectators. 2016 SAFF Women's Championship
The 2016 SAFF Women's Championship was the 4th edition of the SAFF Women's Championship, the biennial international women's football championship contested by the national teams of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The tournament began in India from 26 December 2016 and went on until 4 January 2017. The country was awarded hosting rights in January 2016. This was the first time India had hosted the SAFF Women's Championship. The defending champions coming into the tournament were India, who won the three previous tournaments. By the end of the tournament, India emerged as champions again, defeating Bangladesh in the final 3–1.
