Lehighton () is a borough in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Due in part to water power from the Lehigh River, Lehighton was an early center for U.S. industrialization. The Lehigh Valley Railroad was for years a major employer up until the post-World War II era when railroad and industry restructuring led to job and population losses. As of the 2020 U.S. census, Lehighton's population was 5,248, down from a peak population of 7,000 in 1940. Susquehannock
The Susquehannock, also known as the Conestoga, Minquas, and Andaste, were an Iroquoian Peoples, Iroquoian people who lived in the lower Susquehanna River watershed in what is now Pennsylvania.
