__NOTOC__ Gmina Zakrzew is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Radom County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. Its seat is the village of Zakrzew, which lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Radom and 88 kilometres (54 mi) south of Warsaw. The gmina covers an area of 96.15 square kilometres (37.1 sq mi) and as of 2006 its total population is 11,189. The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' ) is the basic unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,479 gminy throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminy include cities and towns, with 322 among them constituting an independent urban gmina () consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta''). The gmina has been the basic unit of territorial division in Poland since 1974, when it replaced the smaller gromada (cluster).
