__NOTOC__ Gmina Jeżowe is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Nisko County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. Its seat is the village of Jeżowe, which lies approximately south of Nisko and north of the regional capital Rzeszów. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 9,871 (10,148 in 2013). Villages Gmina Jeżowe contains the villages and settlements of Cholewiana Góra, Groble, Jata, Jeżowe, Krzywdy, Nowy Nart, Pogorzałka, Sibigi, Sójkowa, Stary Nart and Zalesie. The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' ) is the basic unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,479 gminy throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminy include cities and towns, with 322 among them constituting an independent urban gmina () consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta''). The gmina has been the basic unit of territorial division in Poland since 1974, when it replaced the smaller gromada (cluster).
