__NOTOC__ Gmina Brwinów is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Pruszków County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Brwinów, which lies approximately south-west of Pruszków and south-west of Warsaw. The gmina covers an area of , and as of 2006 its total population is 21,531, of which the population of Brwinów is 11,968, and the population of the rural part of the gmina is 9,563. Gmina
The gmina (Polish: , plural ''gminy'' ) is the basic unit of the administrative division of Poland, similar to a municipality. , there were 2,479 gminy throughout the country, encompassing over 43,000 villages. 940 gminy include cities and towns, with 322 among them constituting an independent urban gmina () consisting solely of a standalone town or one of the 107 cities, the latter governed by a city mayor (''prezydent miasta''). The gmina has been the basic unit of territorial division in Poland since 1974, when it replaced the smaller gromada (cluster). Three or more gminy make up a higher level unit called a powiat, except for those holding the status of a city with powiat rights. Each and every powiat has the seat in a city or town, in the latter case either an urban gmina or a part of an urban-rural one. Podkowa Leśna
Podkowa Leśna (literal meaning – "Forest Horseshoe", in full: ''Miasto-ogród Podkowa Leśna'' – "Garden-City Podkowa Leśna") is a town in Grodzisk Mazowiecki County, Masovian Voivodeship of Poland and located within the territory of the Młochowskie Forests. Milanówek
Milanówek is a town and urban gmina, commune in central Poland, in the Grodzisk Mazowiecki County in the Masovian Voivodeship. Located near Warsaw, it is often considered an outlying suburb of the capital of Poland but is in fact an independent entity administratively and culturally. Otrębusy is a village in Poland, in Masovian Voivodship, to the west of Warsaw in the Gmina Brwinów. History The first mention of Otrębusy come from ''Księgi Błońskie Ziemskie'' from 1525 and 1534, using the Latin spelling "Otrambusche".
