Glūda Parish
Glūda parish () is an administrative unit of Jelgava Municipality in the Semigallia region of Latvia. The administrative center is Nākotne. It was an administrative unit of the Jelgava district. History Historically in the territory of the modern Gluda municipality there were "Auzenburg" manor, Bramberģe Manor ("Brandenburg", Bramberģe), Drucke manor ("Druckenhof"), Kažmere manor ("Kasimirshof", Zemgale), Palcgrave Manor ('' Pfalzgrafen ''), Skibe Manor ('' Alexandershof ''). Jelgava Municipality () is a Administrative divisions of Latvia, municipality in Zemgale, Latvia. Its administrative center is Jelgava, although it is extraterritorial as the city is a separate municipality of its own. Jelgava – Liepāja Railway
Jelgava () is a state city in central Latvia. It is located about southwest of Riga. It is the largest town in the Semigallia region of Latvia. Jelgava was the capital of the united Duchy of Courland and Semigallia (1578–1795) and was the administrative center of the Courland Governorate (1795–1918). Jelgava is situated on a fertile plain rising only above mean sea level on the right bank of the river Lielupe. At high water, the plain and sometimes the town as well can be flooded.
